About DANAT: 

The Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) is a premier gemological laboratory and research center focused on natural pearls, reflecting Bahrain’s rich pearling heritage. Its expert team offers identification services for pearls, gemstones, and diamonds, along with educational courses and recognized gemological qualifications. 

Established in 2017 under HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, it is a subsidiary of the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company. DANAT evolved from the Pearl & Gem Testing Laboratory of Bahrain, the first laboratory of its kind in the Gulf region (established in 1990).
