"The Gulf states in the Middle East have embarked on a journey to implement Value Added Tax. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) have already introduced VAT on January 1st 2018.
As for Bahrain, VAT is going to be implemented end of this year or beginning of next year.
Deloitte has worked closely with a large number of businesses in UAE and KSA in helping them prepare for the indirect tax and guiding them through the implementation phase. Deloitte Indirect Tax Experts have therefore collaborated with AmCham on this event, being held on 9th April in Bahrain, to share the lessons learned from the experience of the KSA and UAE businesses. Deloitte VAT experts will also provide their insight on the VAT impacts and actions that should be undertaken by businesses in order to ensure day one compliance.
Join us for a lively discussion with Deloitte VAT experts with significant local and global advisory experience: Bruce Hamilton, Partner at the Deloitte Middle Indirect Tax Practice and Michael Camburn, Deloitte Middle East Bahrain Indirect Tax Leader.
We look forward to welcoming you to our event."
