VAT in Bahrain – lessons learned from Saudi & UAE

"The Gulf states in the Middle East have embarked on a journey to implement Value Added Tax. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) have already introduced VAT on January 1^st 2018.

As for Bahrain, VAT is going to be implemented end of this year or beginning of next year.

Deloitte has worked closely with a large number of businesses in UAE and KSA in helping them prepare for the indirect tax and guiding them through the implementation phase.  Deloitte Indirect Tax Experts have therefore collaborated with AmCham on this event, being held on 9^th April in Bahrain, to share the lessons learned from the experience of the KSA and UAE businesses.
